On the 16th day of Christmas my true love sent to me Fresh In A Box

I discovered these guys on Instagram through a certain lady’s page. She had just bought her vegetables from Fresh In A Box and she posted a video raving about them. They were a lot and for $20 it looked like a bargain at first I was sceptical because well Zimbabwe. I did the right thing took the number down and then looked them up on twitter for more information…power of social media.

Firstly, I liked the convenience and secondly the quantity for the price. I mean vegetables delivered at my doorstep without having to go all the way to Mbare what a save. I know some people have had bad experiences when it comes to buying vegies from Mbare, I can’t relate lol. I had been so busy at work and hadn’t had time to do vegetable shopping so when I saw the video and then read up for more information, I didn’t hesitate to hit them up for their services. So, I ordered my box and true to their word it was delivered at the time they had said it would. The only bummer was that the broccoli wasn’t fresh. Me being the person I am thought ok maybe this is what their broccoli looks like lol but I knew that’s not the usual broccoli look. I didn’t question it but my husband was like, “iwe broccoli iyi how far?” That’s when I was like I think it’s not fresh and he was like did you tell them, I was like no and he was like why not we paid for this ka lol he is so extra, he knows I don’t like confrontations and he is always ready to fight my battles. As were talking about it and discussing a way forward we received a message and they were apologising about the broccoli, no they didn’t have a secret recording device in their box but apparently the brave ones spoke up and complained about the broccoli and they sent an apology message to everyone they delivered boxes to that day. I liked how they then didn’t wait for a lot of complaints, they said 5 out of the 40 people they delivered to complained. Their apology was genuine which is rare these days with our service providers.

I love the way they do their marketing, it is fresh out of the box lol. Zimbabweans creatives are becoming really lazy these days it’s so annoying, it makes me want to pull my hair out they are lacking in creativity, using hit songs as jingles when we have a looooot of composers who can come up with some fire jingles and I am not even talking about the established producers mind you. Anyway F.I.A.B have so far managed to break out of that curse and I hope they manage to stay like that. This is when you realise you don’t need a farm to sell vegetables, you don’t need a hotel to sell accommodation and you don’t need to be a tailor to sell clothes, you just have to find a gap in the market and exploit it to the max.

They offer a good service, are very professional and friendly and worth the money, which is one thing you can not say about many service providers these days unfortunately. They are fresh, hip and hope they will maintain and not start to take advantage of people somewhere along the line.
