….lived to tell the tale

When I started off this challenge, I would write posts in advance and schedule them for publishing. Sunday was my writing day, so after church I would sit and type away because you know I had made a commitment to myself , my readers and fellow bloggers that “I got it on lock” and I wanted to be organised. Until I just couldn’t anymore, life got real and I had to take it a day at a time that was lesson one, do what you can when you can.

Then came Day 8, day 8 laughed in my face, I was stuck I didn’t know what to write, I thought of writing the pros and cons and then thought nah, I researched on technology I even googled “what is technology” and nothing came until I realised I was looking at it from the wrong view point,I should tell a story and just let that story unfold itself and that’s what I did.

That was the second lesson tell a story and let it unfold, it doesn’t need a conclusion, people can come up with their own conclusions you just do what you do, tell the story.

Then day 10 came, day 10 that was when I realised I didn’t have nothing on lock. I had to research not only for the blog but you know how your brain has that compartment with did-you-know-facts that you hope to use one day and never really get the chance to because your friends find “that stuff” lame, yeah I had to stash that chaff information somewhere for future use, you never know I might have an “intelligent” conversation with someone even if that someone is me….you never know these things.

So that was the third lesson research, writers are also researchers. You need to read the novel “The Secret Life of Bees” to understand that sometimes writing isn’t just writing you need to put some research work into it yup even for novels.

The fourth lesson, is you need to dive in every once in a while, whether you will sink or swim you will never know until you get in there. I am talking about difficult conversations, there is nothing like a difficult topic as I have discovered. You can tackle any topic if you really want to, your mind is not restricted theyafore you are unstoppable.

*Sidenote* What explanation is there that the letters to the AU were almost all similar? Could it be that they are siblings? That they have this deep yearning for approval from their parent and if they step down they will be disowned hence they act like they are stuck to that title, like some mafia family tomfoolery.
