…..hey you, what you reading?

There are so many books I wish you could read, so many I can not even think of 5 that’s how bad it is. So instead of me choosing 5 books I decided to choose the 5 type of books I wish you read or at least open in your lifetime.

  1. Catherine Cookson Books:
Catherine Cookson is a prolific author. I have read so many of her books and “a dinner of Herbs” is by far my favourite. Should you ever want to write a novel or generally venture into full time writing I would advise taking a leaf out of her book. Her story telling is captivating and even if there is a villain in the book, she writes so well you might end up falling in love with the villain yourself πŸ™‚

2.A Cook Book

I know some people will argue that you do not read a cook book, you just check READ the ingredients, peruse READ the method and create magic. The beautiful thing about the modern day cook books is that they come with stories, it is almost like the chef is having a conversation with you. When reading a cook book you need to understand what you are doing, maybe I am extra but I am that person who even makes notes on recipe pages
Exhibit A, it is no longer just about cooking, it is also an education of sorts, did you know the above fact? No you didn’t so do yourself and possibly others a favor, do open a cookbook in your lifetime. There is nothing like I can’t cook you are just lazy….to read lol

3. Self Help Books with an accompanying Workbook

I do not read many self help books but I swear by this book, this was actually the first self help book I read and I can refer to a lot during conversations because it really helped me.The one thing that really helped was the work book that I got with it.
This one is my favorite habits and working through the activities helped me identify areas I needed to work on, I was able to judge myself effectively. The cashflow quadrant is another self help book with activities that make reading the book make sense. At the end of the day don’t just read a self help book just for just, look for the activity book so you can also track your progress else whats the point of helping yourself?

4. Autobiography/ Memoire

IS there someone who inspires you? Then read up on them, learn how they did things and how they responded to situations. Most people hide secrets in their books because books carry more weight, there is no time limit nor page restriction so you want to learn more on them, read more on them. I love the Jesus books and if you want to be a better leader I would advise you getting one of these books.

5. Your Own

Read your own damn book, laugh at your own dark twisted or dry humor. Appreciate the talent God has given you. We want to read your books too so get on it we are waiting on you
