#BOTY 2018: Day 1
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me, a list of her favorite 2018 movies 😉
DEADPOOL 2!!!! I am laughing just typing that out, Ryan Reynolds is quite the funny guy and I know quite a number of people who find that movie silly but do I love it and it’s one movie I can watch over and over and over again. If I am being honest though Deadpool 1 was funnier.
I love movies based on real life stories, every time after watching the movie, I always google so I can read more about the story. And I now have a fascination with these drug cartel, drug lords, crime family lifestyles for some strange reason, I blame Narcos honestly. I think the Presidential family is like a mob, they run that thing like some cartel and Chappaquidick had me asking a lot of questions. One thing it made me realise though is that when you are rich and famous you may as well get away with murder.
What’s a movie year without some animation, Next Gen did it for me. Hotel Transylvania 3 for me was a nah, I was really looking forward to it but I feel like every time we start getting to the “3” of any movie we start losing the plot case in point “Despicable Me 3” I rest my case. Next Gen was a really good movie, it HAD to be about robots had me wishing I had a robot to boss to do stuff for me like eliminating my enemies, Oh and Charming which was quite funny about Prince obviously Charming, now Prince Charming as the name suggest could charm birds off of a tree. One look from him and you were charmed, you couldn’t help fall in love with him and he had all the women in their village swooning at his feet and the men obviously didn’t like that till he met the one woman who didn’t fall for his charm at first sight, then you know the rest is fairytales.
Then lastly I love Bristish movies, British comedy my favorite of all time being My Family. I have the complete series and I randomly watch episodes when I feel like having a pick me up and this year on the movies side I enjoyed Juliet Naked. It’s an interesting movie about a guy who was obsessed with a musician, Tucker Crowe and you know it eventually started to affect his relationship with his girlfriend to the point that he had an affair because his girlfriend had a differing view about the musician lmao silly guy! I really enjoyed this movie. You know those movies that have subtle humor that can escape you if you are not witty, that’s the kind of humor there and I enjoyed it to the max.
